Do I need a license to work as a natural hair stylist here?
It depends on the location. For our DMV roles in Maryland, no license is required to apply, and our entry-level stylist role includes paid training. For Brooklyn, NY positions, New York requires a valid natural hair license or cosmetology license. If you are early in your career and based in the DMV, the entry-level stylist role is a strong place to start.
What does the pay look like?
Pay varies by role and experience. Entry-level stylists typically earn hourly plus tips. Experienced stylists work on a commission or salary-tiered model. Specific ranges are shared during the interview process so you know exactly what to expect.
Can I work part-time?
Some roles, like Executive Assistant, are part-time. Most stylist positions are full-time so you can build a consistent book and grow with the team. Flexible scheduling is part of how we support real life.
I am new to natural hair. Can I still apply?
Yes—especially for our Entry-Level Stylist role. We provide paid training in our clinical texture methods. What matters most is passion for natural hair, coachability, and commitment to growing with the team.
